Ed Morse Automotive Group is currently looking for an Insurance Claims Supervisor to join our team! If you are looking to make an impact this is the job for you!

 

This position will oversee and supervise the insurance claims department that process all insurance claims for the company's linkes of coverage, including Workers Compensation, General Liability, Excess liability, Property, Flood, and Management. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the appropriate training, processes, and workflows are in place to ensure claims are processed timely, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Supervises the risk coordinators and claim resolution process to ensure appropriate team member is assigned to resolve concerns regarding the claim, ensure collaboration with claims partners as needed, and ensure issues of high risk are communicated and escalated appropriately.
  • Review and follow up on all claims files to ensure that the carriers have current and accurate claim information.
  • Work with insurance carriers to initiate preliminary investigations as needed.
  • Follow up with team members who are out on worker’s compensation, ensuring they are receiving communication and timely follow up with our insurance carriers.
  • Ensure return to work policy is in place and being followed, to include proper documentation.
  • Attend quarterly claims meetings with insurance carriers, management, and other internal groups.
  • Recommend and draft internal claim procedure changes and coordinate regular claims management training to team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with carriers, claims adjusters and attorneys.
  • Update management on new and pertinent legislation or case law.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that encourages teamwork and communication and supports quality and process improvement suggestions and solutions.
  • Assist as necessary during acquisitions to ensure newly acquired locations are setup for success.
  • Travel as needed for claims meetings/investigations, mediations, claim reviews with division personnel and claim meetings with clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years claims experience and management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite as well as familiarity with various claims and risk management systems.
