Ed Morse is currently seeking a Detail Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of automotive detailers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Schedule and allocate work assignments, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of detailing tasks.
  • Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet the dealership’s quality standards for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Maintain inventory of detailing supplies and equipment, ordering new stock as needed.
  • Train new employees on proper detailing techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the detailing department.
  • Coordinate with the sales and service departments to prioritize vehicles for detailing.
  • Perform quality control checks and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Manage budgets and control costs to maximize departmental efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues regarding vehicle detailing, providing solutions and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive detailing products, techniques, and industry trends.
  • Prepare reports on departmental performance, including productivity and quality metrics.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in automotive detailing is a plus.
  • Proven experience in automotive detailing, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform detailing tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using detailing equipment and cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
